It can definitely be the result of getting attracted by the oppostie gender due to his/her good looks. Nevertheless, it focuses on these few points as mentioned above. On a lighter note, people may also go steady as they find that one can communicate and get along pretty well with his/her partner. Thus, to show their affection for each another and take their relationship another step higher, they go steady.
When can we go steady?====================I feel that we can go steady once we are mature enough to understand the complexity of having a relationship. Being immature and not knowing how to handle or end a relationship properly could cause one distress and complications might arise. For example, the other party might not be willing to let go of the relationship and hence, keeps on pestering you till you feel extremely frustrated and stressed out. This is common. So, once we outgrow the stage of immaturity, i personally feel that it is alright to go steady.
Are there any consequences if we were to go steady at a young age? If so, what could they be?====================There are always consequences if we were to go steady at a young age. Since we may still be immature and innocent, we may not know the dangers that lurk around us. If we go on a single date, we might end up exposing ourselves to greater dangers and for example, may get raped. This is a consequence that 100% of the whole world population do not want to land up in. Thus, we should take extra caution if we ultimately choose to go steady at a young age.
